| Title: | Approaching Storm | ||
| Notes: |
I photographed this scene in May of 2006 from Ecola State Park on the northern Oregon coast just north of Cannon Beach. Clouds had been building throughout the afternoon and as I scouted along the trail I saw that the clouds could contribute a significant element to this print. Yet another factor which allows the viewer to realize the distance or scale involved here is the waves which begin breaking far out in the Pacific and break over such a wide expanse along the coast. I photographed this image using the Mamiya RZ67 with the 140mm lens on Kodak Portra 400 VC negative film. The camera was tripod mounted and mirror was in the locked up position. |
