This image was photographed
over the
Arkansas River as it weaves its way through a narrow gorge
in Colorado. I used the RZ-67 with the 50mm ULD lens
to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film.
The camera was hand held. These scenes are difficult
for me to print because of the extreme contrast which goes
from almost absolute black in the shadow regions to
ultra-bright in the highlights. However, it is worth
the investment in time once you are able to view the
finished print. This was a breath taking and majestic
scene, at least for me..
