This image was
photographed near Townsend Tennessee in the Great Smokey
Mountain National Park early one autumn
morning in the fall of 2000. I was new to large format
photography when I photographed this scene and it must have
taken me two hours to set up the camera and make all the
necessary settings to effect the exposure. I used a Toyo GX 4x5 View Camera with a
Schneider 240 APO-Symmar f/5.6 lens mounted on a tripod using Kodak Portra 160 VC
sheet film. It was a crisp fall day when I made this
exposure. I still love to visit this region every
chance I get. |
