This image was photographed
on Middle Prong of Little River on an overcast day.
I recall the difficulty building the view camera on the spot
where I had to be to photograph this print. I made
several exposures once the monorail was set up to try and
capture the sense of the power and intricate motion in the
rapids. This image was photographed using a 4x5 view camera with a
Schneider 72mm Super Angulon XL lens with the Schneider
center filter. The subdued
light allowed for increased exposure time so the moving
water would "paint" on the film. The film used was
Kodak Portra 160VC. |
