This image was photographed
in the boat yard at Scipio Creek using the Mamiya RZ67 with
the Mamiya Sekor APO 500mm telephoto lens on Kodak Portra
400VC negative film. These brown pelicans had almost reached
extinction at one point but now have returned to normal
numbers. The detail in the big bird and the interplay with
the sky reflected in the water combine to make the
composition work. |
