Title: Canyon Detail Near Point Imperial

  Notes:

This Image was photographed from a place near Point Imperial on the Grand canyon's North Rim.  Viewing distances across this canyon are immense and I became profoundly aware of my "smallness" as I composed this scene in my view finder.  As is normally the case the tonal range seems to stretch out late in the day but especially so in this region of our country.  The exposure was made late in the day using the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor 140mm lens (tripod mounted with mirror-up) using a cable release) on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film.  For me this entire place was an awe inspiring experience.  I'll have to let the image speak for itself.
