This image was photographed
high in the Great Smokey Mountains late in the morning on a
summer day. The camera used was the Toyo GX 4x5 view
camera with the Schneider 72mm Super Angulon XL lens mounted
on a recessed lens board with the Schneider center filter
installed. Places like the one represented here seem to afford
a vignette of this beautiful region. To see a
rendition of this scene photographed in the autumn refer to
the print entitled "Fall Morning on the Middle Prong" on
image page 35 of this web site. I am convinced the
more time I spend in this region that there is not a bad
time in which to visit and look for new compositions. |
