This cemetery is located
on a hill over looking the Mississippi River in
Vicksburg. The image was photographed many years ago
using the Mamiya RB67 with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm lens on
Kodak VPS (6010) negative film. This was photographed in
late summer and the scene possesses all the ambience of
the "deep south." The rows of grave markers also serve
to remind me that this is a sobering place bringing to
mind the great loss of life in the Civil War which
forever left it's mark on
this great land. |
