This image was photographed in Antelope Canyon near Page Arizona using the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film. These canyons have beautiful patterns formed on their walls primarily from the effect of water and sand which run through these canyons during flash flooding. As light steels into these slot canyons after the sun has raised in the sky it plays on the textured walls in a fashion which produces intricate and beautiful displays.
