This image was taken late on an overcast day in a rail yard in Columbus Georgia.  I used the Toyo GX 4x5 View Camera with a 240mm lens to expose the image on Fuji Velvia transparency film.  I recall the exposure was very long due to the late hour and the over cast day.  I always use the tripod and cable release when using the view camera.  It was very hot as one might imagine in Georgia in late July and a primary preoccupation is simply keeping the film and equipment from getting too hot.  This to me is an illustration of simple elegance which one finds in the most unsuspecting places.
