This photograph was taken
just before sundown from a high point below the light house
at the ocean's edge. I used the Mamiya RZ-67 (tripod
mounted and mirror up) with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm ULD wide
angle lens and exposed the scene on Kodak Portra 160 NC
film. As the light softens during this time of day the
tonal gradations become more perceptible and colors and
textures not perceptive during times of bright light are
apparent. Many factors come together to contribute to
this unique and beautiful scene. |
