This image was photographed
on the Florida coast near Port Saint Joe on the Saint Joseph
Peninsula in late summer of 2005 at dusk. Late
afternoon usually brings dramatic cloud formations this time
of year and this is a good example of those formations.
I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm wide angle
lens to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 160VC negative
film. There are millions of crabs and mosquitoes in
this region and untold beauty. The price is high when
calculated in blood loss due to mosquitoes to photograph
scenes in this region. It reminds me of areas around
Key West with palms mixed in the costal forests. |
