This image was photographed on an
overcast winter day near Townsend Tennessee. I used
the Toyo 4x5 GX View Camera with the Schneider 240
APO-Symmar f/5.6 lens to
expose this scene on Fuji Velvia transparency film. I
worked with this print for almost a year before I was able
to print on paper what was so beautiful in the
transparency. The scanning and printing presented a
profound challenge for me. However, I believe it was time well
spent and I have learned a great deal in the process.
I have photographed this scene at almost every season of the
year and yet it never fails to capture my attention when I
am there. Indeed, a beautiful spot. |
