This image was
photographed on a
cool fall morning in the Great Smokey Mountains. I never
cease to be impressed with the fact that no matter how often
I have been here in the fall it never seems to get old.
It is always exciting to be here when autumn breaks out and
it seems that I always find something that I had never seen
before. I used the
Mamiya RZ67 with a Mamiya Sekor 50mm ULD wide angle lens
(tripod mounted & mirror up) to make this exposure on Kodak
Portra 160 VC negative film. The leaves were at their
absolute zenith. As is so true with many such scenes
their description can not be adequately expressed in words only
experienced by viewing. This was such a scene. Soli Deo
