This image was photographed
late in the afternoon on the head waters of the Little
Pigeon River in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park in
October. I used the Mamiya RZ67with the Mamiya Sekor
50mm ULD lens (tripod mounted and Mirror-up) to expose this
scene on Kodak Portra 400VC negative film. The print
is printed on Premium Glossy Photo Paper because it yields
the greatest optical density range and thereby captures the
colors, tonal range and hues so important in this print.
