This image was photographed in the shadow of the Oak Creek Canyon in Arizona late afternoon.  I used the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the 50mm ULD wide angle lens (tripod mounted, mirror-up and cable release) to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film.  The trail which goes up Oak Creek Canyon crosses the stream several times and holds an infinite number of compositions for those with time to discover them.  As is so often the case there is a beauty here which belongs uniquely to this place.  I'm glad I got to photograph it.
