This image was photographed
in the region between the Grand Teton National Park and
Yellowstone National Park north of Jackson Lake on the Lewis
River. I used the Mamiya RZ-67 with the 50mm ULD wide
angle lens (tripod mounted and mirror up) to expose this
scene on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film. To me this
is a powerful image with respect to composition.
However, it is sad in a way due to the fact the effect of
the great fire of 1988 can be seen in the distant trees.
Nevertheless this is still a majestic place possessing
immense scale and beauty and new growth has begun with a
fervor. |
