Notes: |
This image was photographed late
morning across one of the highest points in Bryce Canyon.
I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 140mm lens
tripod mounted to expose this scene on Fuji Velvia
transparency film. I was told that the Indians called
these stone stacks Hoodoos and they are a prominent feature
of Bryce Canyon. Early in the day and again late in
the afternoon they assume an almost pink cast unique to
these formations. I recall that it was very cold and very
clear the day I photographed this scene. Nevertheless, I do not have the words to
adequately describe
the scene but the image expresses what was seen quite well.
A majestic and beautiful place indeed.
