I photographed this hall in
an old deserted train depot in Columbus Georgia long ago
before it was restored. The arrangement of light is
such that the print is almost devoid of color but is rich in
textures. To me the print reflects a time now gone by
when rail travel was one of the primary means of travel.
It was like stepping into a time warp when I walked through
the old depot on Sixth Avenue. I used a Mamiya RB67 with the
Mamiya Sekor 50mm lens to expose
this scene on Kodak VPS (high contrast version which was
only available for a short period of time ISO: 160).
