This
image was photographed in Columbus Georgia in a rail
yard. I used the Toyo GX 4x5 view camera with the
Schneider APO 240mm lens to expose the scene on Kodak
Portra 160VC sheet film (4x5). It is my opinion
that this image could only have been produced using a
view camera. The depth of field and the image
sharpness is virtually impossible to capture using a
fixed lens camera (at least in my hands). There
was a great deal of work involved in capturing this
image. However, to me it was well worth the time
and effort spent. |
