| Title: | Lagoon in Hoh Rain Forest | ||
| Notes: |
This image was photographed in the Hoh Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. I made more photographs under an umbrella when I was in Washington State than I had made in my entire life. However, the rain and moist conditions tend to produce lush foliage and a low contrast image with a wider range of tonal scale in the intermediate tones than does a bright sunlit image. This image is a perfect example of such an this expanded intermediate tonal range. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the 50mm ULD lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to expose this image on Kodak Portra 400 VC negative film. |
