Title: Lighthouse at Big Sur

  Notes:

This image was photographed in spring 2005 along the Big Sur coast on an overcast day.  I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 500mm APO telephoto lens, tripod mounted and mirror-up, to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 400VC negative film.  Exposure was a bit of a challenge and timing was important to catch the beacon at its brightest point.  This photographing of the lighthouse provoked memories when a few years ago I photographed some of the lighthouses of New England.  These sentinels seem to hold a special enchantment .
