This image was
photographed August of 2002 late in the afternoon just
prior to sunset. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the
140mm Sekor lens (tripod mounted mirror up) to expose
this scene on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film.
The day was warm and the wind was stiff coming off the
Gulf. As the light softens late in the day you can
see color hues which are not visible when the sun is at
it's strength during mid-day. Another
characteristic of this time of day is that the clouds
begin to take on a color and character which is quite
striking and different each day. A special and
beautiful place indeed -- |
