This image was
photographed late summer in the early morning. The
scattered early morning clouds were just enough to
soften the light intensity and enable the film to
capture intermediate tones not seen in intense light.
I used the Mamiya RZ67 with a Mamiya 50mm ULD lens
(tripod mounted and mirror up) to expose the scene on
Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film. The patterns in the
sand in the foreground do much to make the image work.
A beautiful place indeed. |
