This old general store
was photographed on a summer afternoon in Junction City
Georgia. These old stores served as the source for
almost everything that residents in these rural
communities required to supply their daily needs.
I recall a sign on one of these old stores that stated:
“We sell everything from tooth picks to dynamite!”
I used the Toyo 4x5 GX view camera with the Schneider
APO 240mm lens to expose this scene on Kodak Portra
160VC negative sheet film. |
