This image was
photographed late afternoon using the RZ67 Pro II with
the Mamiya Sekor 500mm APO telephoto lens (tripod
mounted, mirror-up with a cable release) on Kodak Portra
160VC negative film. The lens was stopped down to
f/45 and the lens hood was mounted to prevent
attenuation from diffracted light. This lens sees a 10
degree angle of view. Therefore, you can see that
the distances are great and the compression of the
elements in the scene is extreme. This is an
amazing place which seems to change as does the light
every hour. Late in the day it assumes a very
dramatic appearance. |
