Notes: |
This image was photographed
one morning when I had been photographing the sunrise and
turned around and noted that the sun which had just broken
over the mountain range to the east was focused directly on
the face of the mountain to the west. I used the
Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor 500mm APO telephoto
lens (tripod mounted, mirror-up and with a cable release) to
expose this scene on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film.
The illumination is extreme. The contrast is extreme.
And the saturation is extreme. All because of the
angle and intensity of the sun's light at that particular
moment. Who knows what tomorrow’s sunrise will bring?
Soli Deo Gloria! |
