This image was
photographed late in the morning in the Smokey Mountains
on an overcast day. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the
Mamiya Sekor 50mm lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to
expose this scene on Kodak Portra 400VC negative film.
The water's painting on the film during the long
exposure adds a unique ambience to this composition. I
often wonder how many beautiful landscapes the sun rises
to expose each morning that no one ever sees in these
isolated regions. |
