This image was
photographed with a Toyo GX 4x5 view camera using the
Schneider 240 APO-Symmar f/5.6 lens. I used Kodak Portra
160VC 4x5 negative (sheet) film to capture this image.
I like the 4x5 for this type of image because of its
amazing capability to capture every intricate detail in
the subject. Exposure settings were f/32 at 1
second with no filtration. To me this print speaks
volumes even in it's silence
of a time now almost forgotten. These old
abandoned tenant houses now stand in silent testimony to
a way of life now rapidly vanishing from our memory.
