This image was
photographed at Pemaquid Point on the coast of Maine
mid-afternoon on a cool clear day. The diagonal
striations in the rocks from the north Atlantic (to my
back here) up to the light on the crest of the shore
gives a special sense of spatial depth which contributes
greatly to the palpable sense of "being there" which
makes this print work. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the
Mamiya Sekor 50mm lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to
capture this scene on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film. |
