I photographed this
scene late one afternoon following a visit to the shore
line seen here in the distance. Upon my return I noticed
this scene and determined it would make a captivating
composition. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya
Sekor 50mm lens to expose this scene on Fuji Velvia
transparency film (Rated at ISO 40). The colors had
already begun to "warm" late in the day giving the
entire composition a reddish/yellow cast. In this region
blue berries grow wild and the low growth in this scene
is those wild blue berries. I recall eating some of them
the afternoon I exposed this scene. I am told that later
in the fall they turn brilliant red. Perhaps an excuse
to return to this region again. |
