| Title: | Powerhouse on River Walk | ||
| Notes: |
This print was photographed on the River Walk along the Chattahoochee River in Columbus Georgia in August of 2002 late in the evening. A rain had occurred late that afternoon and conditions were warm and humid. A key in this print is the play of lines in the brick patterns seen in the walk, the railing, the stairs and those of the old powerhouse itself. In images done at night the darkness hides some aspects in the image and at the same time draw emphasis to others. In this image the eye is drawn to the light in the powerhouse window and the operations going on inside. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the 50mm ULD lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to photograph this scene on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film. |
