It was a blustery winter day
when I made this photograph. One moment the scene
would be cloud covered and a short while later the sun would
break through. I used the Toyo 4x5 GX with the Snyder
72mm Super Angulon XL lens on a recessed lens board and a Snyder center
filter. The camera was mounted on a tripod and had a
compendium lens shade in place. The exposure was made
on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film. The old cemetery
had not been kept up but I was impressed by the fact that
some of the markers dated from the 1700's. This was an
isolated and yet beautiful place. |
