This image was photographed
at sunrise on an overcast day with fog in central Alabama.
The fog had begun to clear as the sun rose in the sky when I
made this exposure. This was taken in the winter and I
used the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm ULD
wide angle lens (tripod mounted, mirror-up and with cable
release) to make this exposure on Kodak Portra 160VC
negative film. I wish I could have made an audio
recording as the twilight hush began to be broken by the
cranes, geese, ducks and other small song birds which thrive
in this region. I am convinced that there are things
which are revealed at the break of day that can not be seen
at any other period of the day. Soli Deo Gloria! |
