This image was
photographed early on a winter morning from Morton’s
Overlook near Clingmans Dome in the Great Smokey
Mountains. I had been at this location from before
the break of day as this composition was progressively
revealed. I recall reflecting on how “primal” the
scene appeared. I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the
Mamiya Sekor 500mm APO lens with the camera tripod
mounted and the mirror in locked up position. The
exposure was long and recorded on Kodak 400VC negative
film. |
