This image was
photographed on Porter's Creek in the summer of 2003 using
the Toyo 4x5 GX view camera with the Schneider
Apo-Symmar 240mm f/5.6 lens on Kodak Portra 160VC
4x5 negative film. For a reason unknown to me compositions
from this region seem to possess a "Classical" ambience as
few other places do. I only wish that I could have
viewers see the finished 40x50 print in order to understand
what I mean by a "Classic" print. I believe that the
softness of light due to the time of day and the clarity of
the 4x5 negative contributed to the classical beauty I find
in this print. Unfortunately these can not be seen in
a jpeg web image. Indeed this is a favorite place for me. |
