This rather abstract macro image
was photographed in the Great Smokey Mountains along the
headwaters of the Little Pigeon River. This image has
intricate
detail and extreme tonal range and speaks profoundly
of the profound beauty of these woodlands and mountain
streams. These small vignettes are in a continual state of
change and therefore present me with new opportunities every
time I go there. I used the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor
140mm Macro lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to expose
this scene on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film. |
