This print was photographed
on an over cast day in the Great Smokey Mountains using the
Mamiya RZ67 with the 50mm lens on Kodak Portra 160VC
negative film. The camera was tripod mounted and
exposure was made mirror-up. The rather flat lighting
enabled the intermediate tones to be captured on the film
with less difficulty. The wide angle lens was stopped
down to the maximum f/32 and hyper-focal distance was
employed to enhance the depth of field in order to impart a
sense of placing the viewer into the image. |
