This image was photographed
late one winter afternoon near Port Saint Joe Florida. I
used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm wide angle
lens. The image was exposed on Kodak Portra 160 VC
negative film. The breeze off the Gulf of Mexico was
strong and it was cold. This image was photographed
the same afternoon I photographed the print entitled "Dunes
at Port Saint Joe." I recall rushing to set up because
the light was diminishing so quickly I was afraid that
I would not be able to make the exposure because of
insufficient light. However, the scene
captured, I believe, has a very special beauty enhanced by
the soft light characteristic of that time of day. Soli
Deo Gloria. |
