Title:

Spring Thaw, Yosemite

Notes:

This image was photographed early one morning in the spring of 2005.  The stream is one of the many run off streams feeding into the Merced River which ran at capacity due to snow melt off and rain during the spring.  The roar from the falls in the distance was profound.  I recall that it was a cool morning and the mist in the air seemed to accentuate that coolness.  Everything seemed wet due to the early morning haze and the spray in the air from the falls.  I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm wide angle lens to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 400VC negative film.
