This is yet another
vignette of the profound beauty found in and by the cold
mountain streams of the Great Smokey Mountain National
Forest. This was the last photograph of the day and I
questioned whether I should attempt it or not because
the light had almost faded away. I recall that I did
make the exposure and it was about ten seconds.
Nevertheless, when I processed the film I found that the
negative not only proved acceptable but because of the
softness of the light was able to capture many of the
intermediate tones which would have been lost in light
of greater contrast. I used the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with
the Mamiya Sekor 140mm Macro lens to expose this image
on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film. |
