This image was made in a
very isolated region of the Great Smokey Mountain National
Park. This stream runs between very high mountains on
either side and because of it's
difficult access is virtually untarnished. The
exposure was made using the Mamiya RZ-67 (tripod mounted and
mirror up) using a Mamiya 50mm ULD wide angle lens on Kodak
Portra 160 negative film. It was a cool clear winter
day and with the exception of the water rushing in the
mountain stream it was absolutely quiet. I recall
feeling as if I were standing in cathedral. Indeed, a
unique and majestic place. |
