Notes: |
This image was photographed
late in the summer near Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountain
National Park.
I used the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor 500mm
APO lens (tripod mounted, mirror-up with a cable release) to
expose this scene on Fuji Velvia transparency film rated at
!SO 40. I recall that I used an entire roll of 220
film making exposures successively as the sun sank in the
sky. The soft warm light of the summer sunset seems
intensified by the mountains and the great distance
involved. A special place and time to say the least.
