This image was photographed
in the morning with the sun coming over my left shoulder.
The camera (Mamiya RZ-67 with 50mm ULD lens) was tripod
mounted and the lens stopped down to f/32 and the exposure
was made mirror up with a cable release on Kodak Portra 160
VC negative film. There have been a number of famous
prints made of from this same place viewing the Teton Range
with the Snake River in the foreground. The most
famous of all was captured by Ansel Adams a man who has been
an inspiration for many including myself. We owe a
great deal to these great men. Indeed, a powerful and
majestic scene. |
