| Title: | The Face of El Capitan | ||
| Notes: |
This image was photographed in the spring of 2006 in Yosemite National Park in California in the afternoon on a clear day. El Capitan has a sheer vertical 3000 foot granite face which is world renowned to climbers and is an awe inspiring sight to observe. The cliff face is massive and awe inspiring to say the least. I, like many other Americans, when we view this mountain can not help but think of the great photographer Ansel Adams who made it so famous by his powerful prints. I made this image using the Toyo 4x5 GX view camera with the Schneider 240mm F5.6 Apo-Symmar lens to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 160 VC negative film. |
