This print was photographed in May of 2005 in Yosemite National Park very late in the afternoon.  I spent a great deal of time searching for the proper spot to photograph this massive mountain in a way that it’s sheer scale could be appreciated.  The large trees in the foreground on this print afforded me such a perspective.  I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the 140mm Mamiya Sekor lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to expose this scene on Kodak Portra 400 VC negative film.
