I photographed this
image one bright morning when driving east on highway 96
through Howard Georgia. I noted a group of box
cars lined up on a side track and this cyan blue car was
in the line. I pulled off and set up my equipment
and took several exposures. This image was taken
using the Toyo 4x5 GX view camera with the Snyder 240mm
lens with an extension rail and long bellows to allow
close focus on Kodak Portra 160 VC film. It is
said that with a large format camera you not only see an
image but also "feel" the image referring to the
exquisite detail captured on the larger negative.
To me this print is a living illustration of that truth.
