This image was
photographed from Muley Point in Utah from which the
horizon seems to extend on forever. I believe the reason
this composition works so well is the detail in the
foreground which places the viewer "into" the landscape.
This foreground also provides important information
about what this place is made of. I used the Mamiya RZ67
Pro II with the Mamiya Sekor 50mm lens (tripod mounted
and mirror-up) to expose this scene on Kodak Portra
160VC negative film. |
