This print was photographed in Ilwaco Washington in May of 2006 in the afternoon on a day of broken clouds and intermittent rain showers.  This old Lighthouse had much fascinating detail and this image is part of that detail.  This image was a high key image but also had elements like the small round “holes” at the base of the window which demonstrates the shadow area and makes the print “real.”  I used the Mamiya RZ67 with the Mamiya Sekor 140mm lens (tripod mounted and mirror-up) to expose this image on Kodak Portra 400 VC negative film.
