This image was
photographed early one summer morning at Twin Springs
Alabama. These windows were found in an old
abandoned tenant house. Twin Springs is an
exceedingly small rural community in Alabama. It
derived its name from the fact that at one time there
were a pair of springs which flowed continually that
were located just beside the main highway passing
through Twin Springs. It became known by those
passing there as a place where they could stop and get a
cool drink of water. It was so frequently used
that the State Highway department created a pull out to
prevent those parked there from compromising passing
traffic when pulling off for a drink of cool water. I used the Mamiya RZ67
with the Mamiya Sekor 140mm lens to capture this image
on Kodak Portra 160VC negative film. |
